Adults and kids 7+ cook an entree together! Bring you child, grandchild, nephew, neighbor and learn to cook a balanced one-dish meal from mostly-local ingredients. Second meeting of a new monthly program at which kids with adults will build projects in electronics, robotics and wood. The adults must stay and participate. Come taste several local (and a non-local) maple syrups and pick your favorite sugarbush! All varieties will be easily available at local markets, so you'll be able to find your favorite again after the event. We'll have a syrup maker on hand to discuss "Vintages" of maple syrup, what makes for ideal syrup-growing conditions, etc. We'll go 'til we're done...usually between 4 and 5 $10; Grange members free.

Buying in bulk saves money and time, and can make local and/or organic purchases more feasible. Come learn where to find bulk grocery items like flour, beans, rice, and pasta. We'll also discuss where and how long to store it all. The last part of the meeting, we'll discuss a large bulk purchase. Hopefully, we'll place an order which will be picked up and distributed at the Grange a week or two after the workshop.
