| THE BOWZIES The Bowzies - Gerard Smith & Len Wallace on guitars, mandolin, banjo, accordion, bodhran & bouzouki - are one of the hardest working groups of Celtic roots musicians to come from the Detroit-Windsor cross border area with high energy allegiance to the old tradition. While the term “bowzie” refers to a part of a sailing ship’s mast rigging. It is also Dublin slang for a young good-for-nothing person.
