DESCRIPTION:The NCT is one of eight premier hiking trails in the U.S.A.  It winds through 7 states\, 4\,600 miles from New York to North Dakota. We will hike only a small Michigan section of it: from White Cloud (SW of Big Rapids) to Nichols Lake\, total 25 miles.  Keep in mind that there is no elevation gain along this segment.
