DESCRIPTION:We sing for our enjoyment\, not for performance\, in a non-worship setting\, from 'The Sacred harp\,' a shape-note hymnal first published in 1844\, that has shaped notes to help singers sightread.  No experience necessary\, we learn as we go.  We continue a tradition started in the early 19th century\, which was featured in the film 'Cold Mountain\,' featuring powerful harmonies\, each part having its own melodic harmony. (1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 7-9 pm)
