In 1952, Amalia Hernández, dancer and choreographer, founded the Ballet Folklórico of México to rescue the dancing traditions of Mexico. The award-winning company of classically trained dancers has since achieved international success, delighting audiences in over 5,000 performances worldwide with vibrant dance, music, and costumes that exude the spirit of Mexico.
